Will it increase/decrease ride hight?

I have the fz09 2014, this settings works on my bike too?

Old video but perfect. Noticed the bobbins on my z1000 were locked tight. It’s in for warranty and they are replacing them all but it’s good to know this could be the fix. Keep it clean.

The ABS light on the clock still works tho when you take the fuse out

Mine is a piece of shit. It looks like it's recording but then locks up and gives me a 'recover video?' message. So I recover the video, successfully, but it doesn't do fuck all. No video.

Once you take the fuse out for the ABS, of course the ABS light comes on, but when you put the fuse back in does the light go out or does it stay on and you need to get it cleared? Cheers

Hi. Came across your vids when I got the courage up to service my Hayabusa myself. I liked yours the best as your a straight talker and thorough. So much so that when I found a stripped sump plug I used your vid and parts number because where I live, no one could really help and fill me with confidence. I bough the only helicoil kit same as yours I could find and with your guidance I shall do the job. You have saved my ass by taking the time to be thorough. Definitely a fan of these vids. Cheers

Was this all good after she was warmed right up? I have had my dirt bike heli coiled. Seemed to leak after i did a oil change!

Many's the time I've stuffed a wad of newspaper in my jacket to add insulation in winter. One thing you don't see nowadays is the old trick of running spare cables next to the working one following the same route. So that if the cable breaks all you need to do us unhook the ends and connect the ends of the new cable. Back on the road again in a few minutes. Mind you modern cables are much better that the old ones used to be, which were no better than bicycle cables. In fact in my early riding days I remember going into a cycle shop to have a new nipple soldered on to my cable!

Huh, I've never done that. I started on a cg125 and that had a fixed rotor (04 model). I got a bandit 650 around a year and some change ago and I've never even thought to check the bobbins. No wonder my brakes feel so pulsey and horrid. It's not ABS, I've tested that with the rear brake by stomping it. First bike with ABS, dual free floating rotors (holy stoppying power), more than 1 cylinder... Lotta fun lmao. Cheers for this tip, hopefully solves my gammy brakes!

I have never seen this in a motorcycle manual....only on UA-cam.

No lube on the rubbers, it can cause them to pull out of the holes. The rubber is meant to grip when it's compressed using the bolts. It's easy to push the rubbers into the holes, just screw the bolts in to them a tiny bit enough for the threads to bite, then push them into the hole and tighten up but not too much. Just snug them up and a little more. The reason it's difficult to push the rubbers in without the bolt in place is because you are compressing the body of the rubber making it splay out.

Hey dude. I have the same Drift camera. My green light just stays on. You cant switch the camera off, the green light stays on with no other function to be had.. I had the camera for over a year now with no issues and then went to switch off after a good ride, nothing, just stays on green. Any ideas why. There's nothing in the manual to say otherwise. Cheers

Shouldn’t the bike be flat on the floor to check oil correctly . Having the rear wheel off the floor will give you an incorrect reading

Far from new to me, but lovely to see people still appreciating it (albeit mainly 7 years ago) My name is Guy Lambert and I am a brief extra in the film the blond head little tiddler at about 6 minutes in part 2. I should have been more distressed, because my mum nearly ran my sister over in her Morris Oxford a couple of minutes earlier! The main narrator, the writer etc and the owner of Victor Horsman was my dad, Ted Lambert. He started as a m/c apprentice and when old Mr Horsman wanted to retire he passed the business on to my dad, on the basis he got a salary and a new Jaguar every 2 years. Inconveniently he lived into his 90s, but for my dad he was a major hero. He had a large Yacht moored at Beaumaris and my dad and a bunch of Victor’s mates went to the Isle of man at least once a year for the TT and/or the Manx GP. My dad made a number of films about road safety, 3 of which won ‘one of the 10 best amateur films of the year’ 3 times. Me and my 2 sisters each have an ”Oscar” and as luck will have it, mine is for Rode Safely. Reminds me I must get some silver cleaner. We have lost all the films apart from Rode Safely which is in the archive at the BFI. My dad made a bit of a business of it later where he manufactured (in a tiny way) driving simulators and sold films and books around the world - I always remember him sending a bill to the Sultan of Brunei! He also founded a club called CAMDA (Car And Motorcycle Drivers Association) and in my teens we were going to the annual rally at Oulton Park and involved in many activities there including driving round the same circuit as Mike Hailwood, Phil Read, Jim Clark etc drove (a bit faster to be fair). I knew many of the men in the film well - they were in my dad’s team and some were friends - Nobby Clarke, Bill Quinn I remember - I was probably too young for most of them (I was 3 in 1955). I’m also in contact - or was a while ago - with someone called Dave Bonner Wilson who is also on here! He created DVDs of the film, made free copies kindly for me and my 2 sisters and a few years was selling at old motorbike shows! I know plenty more about that era and the film - a lot of it filmed at our house in Heswall and thereabouts.
